Isn't this cute?
We might just do this for our wedding!

Original post here.

Spring Cleaning!

The gals at Sister's Stuff have been "Cleaning Out" all week and it inspired to do my embarrassment of a pantry. So here it is...in all its shambles

I found this neat container that is going to be used for something...

...and this is what happens when you don't know what's in your cabinet

and this

...and this is what happens with a bag of onions sits in there for God knows how long

...MUCH better!

First Free Download - Meal Planner

Hola! I've started planning our meals by the week and needed a meal planner. So I made one and you're welcome to use it too! Download it here.

Shhh....

So Joann has their Cricut cartridges on sale!

Did I need them? No. Did I need to spend the money? Most likely not.

But midterms are going to kick my butt and that's my reward for myself (and I couldn't wait until after midterms to buy them because the sale ends tomorrow!)

Here they are. Cute??

Midterms

Hey all, updates are going to be few and far between this weekend/next week because I have midterms :(

Yuck!! Everyone wish me luck!

I Challenge You!

Lindsay from Living with Lindsay has started the 2nd "Five Dollar Challenge" for spring decor. Entries aren't "due" until 3/25 so I might try a new project, but if not, here is my entry...

Step 1. Have people awkwardly look at you while you take a picture of the outside of a
Dollar Tree

Step 2. Supplies: 8 x 11 mirror, 3 wooden cutouts, and a little watering can magnet (which I purposefully bought the one where the magnet already fell off)

Step 3. Quick coat of paint

Step 4. ...and on the mirror

Step 5. Hot glue (<3)

Step 6. Break out the Cricut

Step 7. Add ribbon detail

Step 8. Mod Podge letters on

Step 9. Clean up the gluey mess inbetween letters

Step 10.. Voila! Finished product. Can either hang it up or stand up!

Are you up for the challenge?

Make Your Own Hand Sanitizer

Isn't that cool?

Find the recipe here.

Let's Have a Moment of Silence...

So I live in a tiny, tiny town (for grad school). In a nutshell, I hate it here...and now I have, yet another, reason to.

I have had one place to buy fabric in this town, Walmart.

And they took it away...why? No idea, but the fabric section is gone now.

Now the closest place for me to get fabric is over an hour away.

Get me out of here!!!

Cupcake Stand (Tutorial #1!)

Here we go! My first tutorial a Cupcake Stand. We're doing cupcakes for our wedding and simple cardboard stands run $40-$60! So I decided to make my own for the grand total of $10.

First I started by drawing circles. Thank God Future DH wanted to keep this ginormous box from our TV we got for Christmas...of 2008!
Circles: sizes 26", 18", 14", and 10"
These will be the "dividers". They're ice cream bowls from Walmart ($1.96/each).

Gotta soak the stickers off...

Test run...I like it!

This is my 9 month old puppy...
...and this is what happens when he "helps". I have no idea how he got that circle around his body!

Time to paint!
...3 coats later on BOTH sides
Add ribbon detail...
and we're done! Well almost, I ran out of ribbon on the bottom tier.
It's definitely not perfect.
